Our desire to start a Christian school grew from a conviction that the school, the church, and the home should be on the same page. We wanted children to experience an education that supported what they were learning about God within their families and church.

We believed parents had a responsibility to nurture their children in the Lord. Our school sought to help them fulfill that responsibility by teaching in a manner consistent with the Bible and a godly home environment.

We believe that God’s character is revealed not only in His Word, but also in every facet of creation. Therefore, we taught that all knowledge was interrelated and could instruct us about God Himself. God wants us to love Him with our minds as well as our hearts, souls, and strength.

Our classical and Christ-centered approach joined quality academic work with spiritual growth. We wanted students who thought clearly and expressed themselves well. We also desired them to be socially graceful and spiritually gracious, knowing and loving the Lord Jesus Christ.

Above all, we wanted parents to be confident that their children, at every stage of their development in school, were loved with Christ’s love in a nurturing environment.

Teachers were essential to that environment. We desired staff members who were professional and diligent in their work, gifted in teaching, and loving toward their students and their subjects. We wanted them to possess a lifelong hunger to learn and grow.

Our vision included seeing teachers well paid so that they could make a career at the school. We wanted them to have opportunities to be refreshed and renewed, nurture new staff, and serve as academic mentors to students.

We also wanted parents to understand the goals of our approach and grow with the school, involved in and excited about the journey. When concerns arose, we encouraged them to hear both sides of a story before rendering a verdict and to encourage one another to love and good works.

Our responsibility extended into the wider community. We aimed to be above reproach in our business dealings, support local businesses, and develop greater fellowship and understanding with churches.

We still believe in this vision for education. We desire an education that nurtures children, develops their minds, and prepares them to use their knowledge wisely. Our hope is that they will know and love the Lord Jesus Christ and bring that love into their relationships and the work they undertake.
